Prostate cancer linked to fatherhood

Childless men have a lower risk of developing prostate cancer than fathers, according to the journal Cancer. 

dna_xsmall.jpgParadoxically, the study also showed that the more children a father has, the lower the risk of the disease.

The study found men without children were 16 percent less likely than those with children to be diagnosed with prostate cancer during up to 35-years of follow up.

Analysis also showed that among fathers, there was a gradually reduced prostate cancer risk with increasing number of children.
